Praline Bacon

Do you really need a reason? Seriously, salty, hickory, smoky bacon with woodsy pecans and sweet brown sugar stickiness? It’s a firm yes for me! I first started making this for Valentine’s Day. Every year I make a “Bacon, Berries, and Beignets with the Boudy’s” spread for breakfast for the whole house. Regular bacon Praline bacon  and turkey bacon with chocolate-covered berries along with beignets. Instantly these are gone from the table. So take the empty plate’s word for it. You’ll love it!

  1. Heat oven to 425
  2. Add a baking rack to a sheet pan to allow the bacon to cook elevated allowing the fat to drip on the sheet pan
  3. Line up bacon on the rack and bake for about 15 mins then sprinkle with pecans and then brown sugar
  4. Bake for 3 mins, check on it to see if the sugar is melting, if it needs help , spoon some of the bacon fat on the bacon and bake for about 2 more mins.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow too cool.
